by Team Supreme, 8-10-2018

Rolling down on the Ranta trip!

Grease calm seas here rolling down on the Ranta 6 day trip. We had a great day of rigging, and are ready for action tomorrow. We may have a little wind this evening but it should subside by about 1 am for us.

We start fishing tomorrow.
Wish us luck!

Long Drive Big Reward!

Long Drive Big Reward!

Today we had a great day of fishing. We had quite the variety today, and they were all great grade! We had a few big Dorado on a jumbo kelp, and when we finally got settled in we were able to catch some great grade Yellowtail and Yellowfin tuna!

We will try another spot tomorrow. Wish us luck!

Keep Cool when it gets HOT and HEAVY!

Keep Cool when it gets HOT and HEAVY!

We had fantastic Yellowfin Tuna fishing today. They bit very well and grade was excellent. 15-25 lbs average with 35-40lbers mixed in. The only thing hotter than the fishing was the Baja sun. Pictured here is chef Mike bring water to crewmen Ben and the rest of the passengers during a hot bite. Thanks Mike for keeping us cool when it gets HOT and HEAVY!

Marlin In the Mix!

Marlin In the Mix!

Today we worked our way up and had a few hours to fish for some Yellow Tail. We did connect with some beautiful 18-22lbers, also mixed in were nursery sized 4-8 pounders that were released. A great pit stop for some quality fish! Pictured is an airborne Striped Marlin we hooked yesterday mixed in with the Tuna. Amazing how much life was around!

Will report again tomorrow,
