After wrapping up our 6 Day yesterday, we found ourselves back in familiar territory last night. The Bluefin did not disappoint. We had limits for our first day with fish up to 160lbs! Plenty of time left to fish. Check back for more updates.
We took a break from the Bluefin program this past week and headed south on a 6 Day trip. We had phenomenal Yellowfin Tuna and Yellowtail fishing. It was a nice change of pace. We have some longer trips mixed into the schedule in the late summer and fall. It's a great opportunity to jump on the boat and experience some classic long range fishing. Back to the Bluefin zone this morning.
Well, we were hoping for a change of attitude after our last trip and we got it. Wrapped up our 3 Day with limits of Bluefin Tuna and 5 Yellowtail. Mixed grade on the tuna, but fun fishing all around. Back at it this morning on another 3 Day.
Tough sledding the last few days. Fished hard for the Bluefin and Yellowtail we were able to land. Hoping for a change in conditions.
Steady fishing last night. When the sun came up this morning we had limits of Bluefin for our trip. Most of the fish were of the smaller grade, with a few standouts up to 150lbs.
We picked up right where we left off on our last trip. Fishing was as good as it gets last night and it continued into this morning. When the dust settled, we had limits for our first two days with fish up to 200lbs!
That's a wrap on Bluefin for our 3 Day trip. Rounded out our limits last night with fish up to 100lbs. We will spend the rest of the day looking for other species before calling it a trip.
We departed on a 3 Day yesterday morning and we got right back to work. We are up to 45 Bluefin for our 18 anglers. The grade of fish is very nice with most weighing between 60 and 100lbs. There is still plenty of time left to fish. Be sure to check back for more updates.
The steady fishing continues. We returned from another 4 Day this morning with 116 Bluefin and 145 Yellowtail for our 24 anglers.
While we have had a mix of smaller sardines recently, we still recommend coming prepared with lighter outfits in addition to your sinker rig and jig setups. The wise angler would have 20-30lb line and size 2 and 4 hooks along with some colt snipers.
We returned from our 4 Day this morning with full fish holds and a happy group of anglers. Wrapped up our trip with 100+ Yellowtail and 100+ Bluefin. Back at it this morning.
